Motionless in White transformed BankNH Pavilion with explosive pyro and cinematic production, immersing a packed crowd on the eve of their newest album, Decades.
Concertgoers across the Northeast know summer is officially in full swing when shows return to BankNH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. Easy to reach, easy to park and known for showcasing a wide range of artists throughout the season, the venue has already welcomed everyone from Lil Wayne and Jelly Roll to James Taylor and now, Motionless in White. With upcoming shows featuring Weird Al Yankovic and Mötley Crüe, it remains the crown jewel for music fans who do not want to travel to Boston or Hartford for a major concert.
No sooner had the sound of Dave Matthews Band’s acoustic guitars faded from the rafters than Motionless in White, Lorna Shore, Fit for a King and Static Dress replaced them with gritty vocals, roaring electric guitars, thundering beats, elaborate storytelling and towering bursts of pyrotechnics as the Sweat and Blood Tour brought the opening leg of its run to the Northeast.
First up was Static Dress. A long way from home, the Leeds, UK band fit in perfectly with the Northeast crowd, setting the tone for a night of heavy music. The band opened with “Nostalgia Kills” from their newest album, Injury Episode. Featuring post-hardcore legends Underoath, the track delivered a powerful balance of crushing breakdowns, raw screamo vocals and early-2000s post-hardcore energy.

The band leaned heavily on material from their new album, giving the crowd a strong look at their current direction while only reaching back to 2023’s Rouge Carpet Disaster for “Courtney, Just Relax.” With a sound rooted in chaotic post-hardcore, crushing breakdowns and emotional vocals, Static Dress transported the crowd straight back to the early-2000s screamo era, and we were completely here for it.

Next up was Tyler, Texas metalcore band Fit for a King. They took the energy Static Dress had generated and immediately leveled it up, coming out strong with “Backbreaker” from their 2018 album, Dark Skies. The relentless combination of crushing vocals, heavy guitar riffs and thunderous double-kick drums quickly sent the crowd begin to spinning the pit.

Fit for A King took the the metal scene in 2007, built on the grassroots movement they steadily built thier fanbase in the DIY touring. It was in 2013 when they signed with their first major record label and re-releasing Descendants and releasing Creation/Distruction n the same year. Since then they have steadily been making waves in the metal core scene.
Next was “Blood Pact,” the title track from the band’s newest EP, delivering the crushing breakdowns and relentless heaviness fans have come to expect from Fit for a King. The rest of the EP pulls from their 2025 release, Lonely God, including “Begin the Sacrifice,” a track that balances brutality with harmony and melody. It also highlights just how much the band has grown since its early days, taking the chaotic foundation of metalcore and building something that still carries plenty of bite and grit while feeling fuller, more layered and almost cinematic—an approach that aligns perfectly with the powerful storytelling of the song’s music video.

That full cinematic production continued throughout the set, culminating with “Witness the End” from Lonely God. Featuring Chris Motionless of Motionless in White, the song created a dynamic push and pull between guttural growls and soaring melodies, with each vocal layer building on the next. It was a powerful conclusion to a set that showed just how far Fit for a King have evolved.

Lorna Shore took the stage next, and if the crowd was craving a full onslaught of cinematic deathcore, they got exactly that during the band’s seven-song set. The New Jersey-based band was locked in from start to finish, blending the roller coaster of Will Ramos’ vocal range—from ear-piercing shrieks to deep gutturals—with soaring guitar solos, chaotic but precise double-kick drums and heavy bass. Every layer amplified the next, creating something that felt so much bigger than just a song. These guys are absolute masters at building a complete , complex experience.
The band launched into “To the Hellfire,” opening with a single guitar before steadily building in intensity as the drums kicked in and Will Ramos unleashed his full vocal range. The crowd knew exactly what the assignment was, and within seconds of Ramos greeting them and telling them they knew what to do, the floor erupted into a flood of moshing and crowd surfing as fans screamed every word back.

Lorna Shore has seen incredible traction over the last couple of years they are fresh off a global tour with White Chapel, Shadow Of Intent, Humanity’s Last Breath and North American Tour with Paleface Swiss & Signs Of The Swarm. To perform along side metal giants like those bands show the immense amount of talent that Lorna Shore has.
As the night continued, the band tore into their newest single, “War Machine,” from their 2025 album, I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me. Inspired by the older death metal and metalcore bands they grew up listening to, including Lamb of God, the song was written to feel like being dropped deep into the trenches. Its many layers take the track beyond pure extremity, giving it a heavy groove and brief moments to breathe before plunging the crowd right back into the chaos.

“Into the Earth” led fans into a massive singalong before the band shifted into one of the most heartbreaking songs from I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me, “Glenwood.” The track is packed with emotion, with every vocal, guitar line and carefully built layer pulling the listener deeper into Will Ramos’ world. Its music video follows Ramos through different stages of his life, moving between childhood memories with his father and scenes of him alone in his home as an adult before culminating in a reunion with his estranged dad.
Hearing “Glenwood” live was incredible. Between the soaring guitars, the raw emotion in Ramos’ voice and the fans singing their hearts out, the entire crowd seemed completely captivated. It was more than simply hearing the song performed live—it was the kind of experience you need to witness with your own eyes.

As the sunlight faded over the lake and mountains, fans rushed to grab one last drink or make one final bathroom stop before Motionless in White took the stage. Towering video screens rose above the stage, the pyro was checked and ready, and ’80s radio hits poured through the speakers as the crowd kept the energy alive by singing along.
Soon, the lights dimmed and the ’80s music gave way to Motionless in White graphics filling the towering screens, with a cat sitting at the center of the display. Green hues began to speckle across the stage before the opening riffs of “Sign of Life” from the band’s 2022 album, Scoring the End of the World, rang out. As the band emerged, the crowd was immediately pulled into the dark, cinematic world Motionless in White had built for the night. The pavilion erupted, with the fans matching Chris Motionless’ volume from the stage.
The production value of a Motionless in White show is truly spectacular. Between the lights, graphics, cherry bomb dancers, pyro, fireworks and flamethrowers, every detail is carefully placed while each member of the band takes on their own commanding stage presence. From start to finish, the entire production is intricately designed to deliver a full-throttle musical experience that locks the crowd into the storytelling and never lets go.

From there, the band launched into “Playing God” from their newly released album, Decades, and we mean newly released. The record arrived on July 17, 2026, just one day after the Bank NH Pavilion show. The band’s seventh full-length studio album celebrates 20 years of Motionless in White while reflecting the perseverance required to remain an artist in an ever-changing musical landscape.
That experimentation and the constant push and pull to evolve come together perfectly on Decades. Everything the band has learned about its sound, identity and place within the music industry has been carried into the album, molding two decades of growth into the version of Motionless in White we see today.
Featuring Corey Taylor, “Playing God” was written with Slipknot’s sound and intensity in mind. Chris “Motionless” Cerulli could hear Taylor’s voice on the track as he was writing it but initially wrestled with whether he should reach out and ask him to be involved. Motionless eventually took the chance, Taylor agreed and the result was an explosive collision between two powerhouse vocalists, bringing together the unmistakable sounds of Motionless in White and Slipknot. The song quickly climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, marking the second track from Decades to reach the top spot.

The show continued with “Meltdown” from 2022’s Scoring the End of the World before the band launched into “Afraid of the Dark,” the first single released from Decades. Released in January 2026, the song quickly climbed the Billboard charts, becoming Motionless in White’s first track to reach No. 1 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.
In our opinion, this is the anthem of Decades. The rise and fall from verse to chorus, paired with the song’s relatability, captures something nearly everyone has experienced, the hardships that push us to the brink and force us to find a way back. It is the kind of song made to be sung with everything you have, and that is exactly what happened inside the pavilion. With eyes closed and voices raised, thousands of Motionless in White fans sang at the top of their lungs, releasing it all into the rafters and sharing one massive, cathartic moment together.
The band reached back to 2012’s Infamous for “A-M-E-R-I-C-A,” which featured cherry bomb dancers carrying black-and-white striped umbrellas and a massive singalong during the chorus. They followed it with “Voices” from 2017’s Graveyard Shiftand “Hollow Points” from 2022’s Scoring the End of the World.
Chris then took a moment to speak to the crowd about being on the eve of Decades’ release, thanking fans for supporting the band throughout the years. He reflected on how long they had worked on the record and what it meant to finally see the reactions to the singles released so far: “Afraid of the Dark,” “Playing God” featuring Corey Taylor and “R.I.P.” featuring Skylar Grey.
Released in June 2026, “R.I.P.” also climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, making it the third consecutive single from Decades to reach the top spot. While the BankNH Pavilion crowd did not get to see the duo perform together, Grey had joined the band during the opening night of the Blood and Sweat Tour in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Fans in New Hampshire stepped into her part perfectly, singing their hearts out and creating a special moment of their own.

Another standout moment came with the band’s cover of Corey Hart’s “Sunglasses at Night.” It is a song Chris has wanted to do for a while, and the timing felt right to include it on Decades. Already eerie in its original form, the 1980s synth-pop classic takes on an even darker industrial edge in Motionless in White’s hands. While the band keeps the unforgettable hook of the chorus intact, they layer in their signature sense of mystery and heaviness, creating a perfect blend of old and new.
For the live performance, Chris appeared seated in a makeup chair as his signature look was touched up while the opening of the song played in the background. An ’80s-inspired Motionless in White logo lit up the screen in neon pink, blue and purple, instantly setting the tone.The Cherry Bomb dancers moved across the stage in white shirts, black belts and black sunglasses, surrounded by glowing neon light tubes that fully leaned into the retro aesthetic while still fitting seamlessly into the band’s dark, theatrical world. It was again what Motionless In White is so good at balancing great music with matched production value.

The night continued with “Undead Ahead 2: The Tale of the Midnight Ride” from 2019’s Disguise and “Not My Type: Dead as Fuck 2” from 2017’s Graveyard Shift, a sequel to “Dead as Fuck” from Reincarnate. “Abigail” from Creatures then took the crowd all the way back to the beginning of Motionless in White, offering a reminder of where the band started and just how much they have built upon the strong foundation that was already there.
RATS off of 2017s Graveyard Shift featured the tongue and cheek production style of Motionless in White and Masterpiece off 2022 Scoring the End of The World brought the crowd back to the raw emotion of self reflections and owning your mistakes.
“Slaughterhouse” from 2022’s Scoring the End of the World gave the crowd a surprise when Fit for a King’s Ryan Kirby joined Motionless in White onstage to perform Bryan Garris of Knocked Loose’s part. In a fun, full-circle moment, it is also worth noting that Knocked Loose later released “Slaughterhouse 2,” featuring Chris Motionless as a sequel to the original collaboration. It is those small connections between bands, songs and tours that really drive home the sense of community within the heavy-music scene.

The night came to a close with “Scoring the End of the World” from the band’s 2022 album of the same name, followed by “Eternally Yours” from 2017’s Graveyard Shift. You could see just how much the band was taking in the moment as the crowd sang every word back to them. As the final song began to wind down, Chris and the dancers carried long-stemmed red roses across the stage before throwing them into the crowd. It was one final display of the love and gratitude Motionless in White have for their fans, while also bringing the night’s elaborate production and storytelling full circle.
It was uniquely Motionless in White. Over the past two decades, the band have created their own world within metalcore, and Decades proves they have no intention of simply sticking with what they already know. While many bands might settle comfortably into their sound by a seventh studio album, Motionless in White continue to break out of the box, level up and expand upon everything they have built. Every new chapter adds another layer, and somehow, they continue to make their world feel even bigger.

The first leg of The Sweat and Blood Tour continues through August 15, wrapping up in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The second leg kicks off on October 30 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, and it is sure to be an epic night. Worcester always brings the energy, massive pits and a steady stream of crowd surfers, and with the show landing just one night before Halloween, it will be the perfect setting for Motionless in White’s dark and theatrical production.
We will absolutely be trying to get there to cover it and experience this tour all over again. With Dayseeker, The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Divine joining the second leg, this one is going to be heavy.
