Artemas ends his Getting Up To No Good Tour on high note, enchanting the audience with his raw vocals.

The performance was enough to make everyone forget about waiting in line in the cold rain. People warming themselves up by dancing and singing along to their favorite songs.

First up was DJ Jean-Pierre La Croix. He kept the crowd entertained as they filed in. “Thank you for coming to my headline tour,” the opener stated, making the audience laugh. “It is coming. Patience is needed. Do not worry. Music is coming.” He worked to get the energy of the room up, playing a mixture of French music along with his other song choices. He got the crowd dancing and singing along to a song he knew everyone in the crowd would know- I like the way you kiss me by headliner Artemas before leaving the stage.

Henry Morris’s emotional vocal tones and fierce guitar playing elevate his lyrics and bring his music to a whole new level. He formally released music under the name Playyard. Morris joins Artemas again on the Getting Up To No Good Tour, having also opened on the Lovercore Tour earlier this year. Joining him onstage Dean on bass and Seamus Neal on drums.

The crowd was engaged through his entire set, singing and dancing to every song. Even in between songs, he was connected to the audience. Henry Morris’s emotional tones shifted the mood of the room throughout his set, the audience really feeling the intent of each song. His style was well suited to bring the iconic Rihanna song “Umbrella” to life. He played songs off of his upcoming album “Kiss Me Extra Hard” releasing on October 23rd including “Drugs and Money”, “Rather Fight”, and “My Girlfriend”.

Henry Morris has his new song High All The Time featuring G-Easy releasing Friday October 16th. He will be continuing to open for Artemas for the Getting Up To No Good Tour as it makes its way to Europe in November.

Artemas cites the Kurt Cobain documentary as what drove him to become a musician. He is known for for an eclectic style using a mixture of darkwave, alternative, R&B and synth lines. He quickly rose to fame partly due to the social media explosion of i like the way you kiss me, released in 2024.

Many of his songs exaggerate specific emotions, and some songs are written tongue-in-cheek. His performance highlights this as well. He emphasizes his singing in a playful way where it’s obvious the words aren’t to be taken seriously. This was particularly noticeable in his performance of “professional heartbreaker” through his emphasis on the words  “what are you some kind of professional heartbreaker”.

Joining Artemas onstage Andrei Martynchyk on drums and Peter Wilson on guitar. An animated performance by all. Artemas comes alive on stage. Constantly dancing around, the crowd was captivated. He effortlessly sings raw, powerful vocals. Because many of his songs include vocal editing, his live performances are a unique experience that you have to be there for to get the full effect.

“This is my favorite Artemas song, so even if you hate it fucking turn up for it,” he said before going into i always kinda knew you’d be the death of me. Someone had started to faint in the crowd during this performance which prompted Artemas to pause the show, and have venue staff hand out water to people in the audience.

In between songs he would sometimes crack jokes including, “New Haven. Who’s newly shaven?”

Artemas mentioned this was a more intimate space than other venues he had been to, and used this as an opportunity to get the crowd engaged. He held the microphone in front of a fan during i like the way you kiss me.
