Continuing the 2026 Greggfest season Night Two promised a wealth of bands ready to rock out for the community. Although a rainy day the festivities would not be washed out.
Returning to the stage students Ben Perreault, Max Groft, and Dakota James once again performed a cover of “The Pirate Song” an original song from Jake’s band Suncooked. The joyful song performed by the trio of current students was a wonderful way to honor Jake Greggs memory and open night two.
The student opener for night two Breaklight jumped on stage with an incredible energy. As the rain started to come down in sheets the hardcore band launched into an intense cover of “My Own Summer (Shove It)” by Deftones. Running through the crowd and leaping up on stage Kaleb Bridgeman joined singer and guitarist Noah LaPointe, bassist Austin Tobin, guitarist Xavier Benware, and drummer Jimi Piluso in performing the iconic metal anthem. The energy boiled over as a large mosh pit formed right in front of the stage. The band continued to perform a mix of classic hardcore covers and several original songs that fans hope to hear on streaming soon. The rain created the perfect energy for the intense band. Shaking up the genre next to the stage Nate Perry and Ragged Company. The alt rock band bringing a classic americana sound to New England opened their set with their original “Maria” the first song on their EP The Otherside of Everything. The band mixes classic americana with an alt rock sound to bring to life a unique sound that drew every audience member towards the stage. With catchy choruses and heartfelt lyrics Nate Perry and Ragged Company quickly had people swaying and dancing along to songs off their newest EP Till the Well Runs Dry “Count on You” and “How Much it Matters” two upbeat and toe taping numbers. Band members Nate Perry on Lead Vocals & Guitar, Sam Demello on Drums, Connor Milligan on Bass & Vocals, and Mike Chandler on Lead Guitar performed with a chemistry that brought each song to life with their intricate vocal harmonies and uptempo beats. Hip-Hop artist and rapper Chase Murphy hopped up on the Greggfest stage with an infectious energy. With his high energy originals like “No Mo” and “Shades On” he caught the attention of the crowd and quickly had folks singing and dancing along. The rapper quickly jumped off the stage and into the audience to perform in a circle of fans. Between performing in the crowd and several call and response moments with the audience Chase built a fun and engaging show. As his 3rd time performing at the festival Chase made it count with his crowd interaction and community building in addition to his high energy performance. Headliner and final performance of Greggfest 2026 Dred Buffalo a rock and roll band straight out of Boston hit the stage with a bang. The band opened with a lively cover of “Come Together” the classic Beatles hit before jumping into several of their original songs. The audience was quickly captured by frontwoman Alerisa Rose as she performed “Trippin’ Over Shadows” from the band’s recent self titled EP. The song features an intense beat that highlights her electric vocals and stunning stage presence. Joining Alerisa in creating the bands exceptionional classic rock and roll vibe is Chase Cavacco on Guitars, Logan Underwood on Drums, and Nate Svogun on Bass. After performing several other songs from the groups self titled ep Alerisa stepped off stage leaving Chase, Logan, and Nate in the spotlight for a fun and intimate jam session with the crowd featuring solos from each artist. Despite some technical issues including a burnt out guitar amp Dred Buffalo brought insane energy to each and every second of their performance. In for a special treat the band performed a new unreleased original titled “Shaking Hands with the Devil” Alerisa announced that the Greggfest crowd was only the 5th audience to hear this new track! To finish their vibrant set Dred Buffalo pulled out an impressive performance of “Rock and Roll” by the iconic Led Zeppelin. As the band stepped off stage a line of excited new fans stretched from the merch table all the way across the parking lot.DRED BUFFALO
