Jesse Taylor Band returned to the stage at the Loading Dock sharing their unique blend of alt rock and dreamy indie sound.

First to take the stage was Bitter Sweet a local hard rock band based out of the Vermont State University Lyndon Campus. Front woman Mollie Jean was joined by guitarist Noah LaPoint, bassist Ben Perreault, and drummer Jimi Piluso. The band opened with their first original single “Hero Complex”. The band debuted a new song during their set titled “Money and Fame” release date unknown. Even on the first listen audience members were participating in a fun call and response during the song’s chorus. Along with their other originals Bitter Sweet also went all out on two covers, “Thnks fr th Mmrs” off Fallout Boys album Infinity on High and “It’s Not You” from Halestorm’s self-titled album.

Next to hit the stage was Workingmans Army. A drastic shift from the hard rock sound of Bitter Sweet, Workingmans Army describes themselves as blending indie, blues, jazz, reggae, punk, metal, electronica, americana, and ambient textural sounds. The band lived up to this description transitioning in and out of songs seamlessly. Without a set list it was difficult to tell where one song ended, and another began as the band jammed out on stage. Fronted by Ian Morris Greenman Workingmans Army uses their unique sound to share original songs filled with interesting harmonies and eclectic lyrics.

Headlining the night was Jesse Taylor Band opening their set with their original song “Thinking of You” that released as a single in March of 2024. The band quickly discarded their planned setlist instead following the vibes of the audience. The chemistry between the band members and the music drew the crowd in and had people dancing around the room. The band performed many of the songs of their debut ep Ever-Changing along with some of their other singles including their unreleased songs “Still the Same”, “Tidalwave”, and “Procrastination Queen”. While these originals aren’t available on streaming yet an acoustic demo of “Still the Same” is available on the band’s YouTube. Rather than winding down at the end of their set Jesse Taylor Band performed their lesser played punk rock original “Unavailable” at audience request.
