McMaple brings the spunk, energy, and raw excitement to Kingdom Brewing in Newport Town, Vermont, lighting up the crowd with every beat.
Local Vermonters came out to see McMaple perform at Kingdom Brewing over the weekend. McMaple is a three-member band consisting of Brian Maple, the lead guitarist, Liam McCaffrey, the rhythm guitarist, and Cait McCaffrey, the lead singer. Both Brian and Liam sing alongside Cait, making it a one-of-a-kind family trio!
These performers had both longtime fans and newcomers enjoying their unique musical style. Based in the Burlington/St. Albans area, they’ve made several trips up to play at KB. Their setlist featured songs that resonated across generations, from The Band’s 1969 hit Up On Cripple Creek to KT Tunstall’s Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Noah Kahan’s Stick Season. Their covers spanned mainly rock and pop, with some alternative selections mixed in.
McMaple created a friendly and fun environment for all ages and groups to enjoy. The audience seemed both happy and energized—toward the end of the night, couples and families were dancing. The crowd was highly supportive, with plenty of socializing and engagement. The band frequently interacted with the audience, acknowledging dancers and mingling during breaks.
For a glimpse of their individual performances, Brian Maple often ventured into the crowd while playing and even pulled off the classic move of playing the guitar behind his back. Liam McCaffrey performed some solo songs, impressing with his strong vocals and graciously thanking the audience each time. Cait McCaffrey delivered outstanding vocals, wowing the crowd with her powerful range and upbeat personality.
As a group, they stayed perfectly in sync, maintaining a cheerful energy and even sharing some humorous moments, such as playing while leaning on each other. Overall, McMaple is a fantastic band to experience live—a must-see for music fans.
