Portland’s Back Cove Arts & Music Festival Debuts with a Stacked Lineup Featuring Jack White, Lord Huron, and More

Portland, Maine has long been a prime destination for major touring acts, with venues like Thompson Point drawing big crowds every summer. Now, the city is set to host its very own large-scale festival—the Back Cove Arts & Music Festival—which will debut with an impressive two-day lineup featuring Jack White, Lord Huron, André 3000, Turnpike Troubadours, and Lucy Dacus, along with 16 other acts across the weekend.

Taking place August 2nd and 3rd at Payson Park, the festival will bring together live music, visual arts, and local culture in one of Portland’s most scenic locations, overlooking Casco Bay. The event aims to celebrate Portland’s vibrant artistic community while also attracting nationally recognized performers to Maine’s largest city. In addition to the main stage performances, attendees can expect a diverse lineup of supporting acts, art installations, food vendors, and interactive experiences that highlight the region’s creative spirit.

Portland’s reputation as a cultural hub makes it an ideal setting for a festival of this scale. The city has a long history of supporting the arts, from its thriving local music scene to its numerous galleries, theaters, and creative spaces. Hosting a major festival at Back Cove offers both locals and visitors a chance to experience world-class entertainment without traveling far, making it a welcome addition to New England’s summer music circuit.
