Simple Plan is marking 25 years with a massive 19-city tour, bringing their signature energy, greatest hits, and never-before-played songs to fans across the country.
The Bigger Than You Think tour kicks off August 9 in Seattle, WA, at the WAMU Theater and runs through September 6, wrapping up in Irving, TX, at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. Joining them on all dates are special guests 3OH!3 and Bowling for Soup, with rising pop-rock artist LØLØ opening each show.
Chuck Comeau shared the band’s excitement:
“We’re so excited for our Bigger Than You Think! US tour this summer! It’s hard to believe, but these will be our first proper US headline shows in more than eight years, and the timing couldn’t be better as we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a band! To mark this milestone, we’re putting on the biggest shows of our lives—playing everything from our biggest hits to songs we haven’t performed in years, with the most elaborate stage production we’ve ever had! It’s gonna be epic! We’re also bringing along our very good friends 3OH!3, Bowling for Soup, and LØLØ. We’ve played with them all over the world, and they always put on a sick show. This lineup is stacked, and we promise you’ll be singing your heart out from beginning to end. It’s gonna be BIG—we hope to see you there!”
A Legacy of Pop-Punk
Formed in Montreal, Quebec, in 1999, Simple Plan first made waves with their 2001 debut single “I’m Just a Kid”, followed by their 2002 album No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls, featuring hits like “I’d Do Anything”, “Addicted”, and “Perfect”. Over two decades later, they remain a driving force in pop-punk, playing major events such as the 2010 Winter Olympics, When We Were Young Festival, and Vans Warped Tour—which they’ll return to in 2025 at the Washington, DC stop.
In recent years, they’ve toured alongside The Offspring, Sum 41, and Avril Lavigne, all while showcasing their 2022 album Harder Than It Looks. The band’s popularity has also been reignited through the viral #ImJustAKidChallenge on TikTok, which has amassed over 700 million views worldwide. Fans can also look forward to an upcoming Amazon Prime documentary about the band, premiering later this summer.
