Charlotte Rae lit up the GreggFest stage with a high-energy solo set, marking a memorable return before graduating from VTSU–Lyndon.

Charlotte Rae performed at GreggFest last year as the frontwoman to the former band Technical Difficulties, but this was her first year perming as a solo artist. She took the stage as the second act of the night to a large crowd of Vermont State University Students and community members.

Charlotte was supported by Jared Boren on keys, Mollie Jean on bass, Chris Finn on guitar, and Campbell Jillette on drums. She opened her set with her original “Ease My Mind” off her debut EP Divine and her newest single “Wants and Needs”. The crowd swelled as Charlotte invited Ethan Williams guitarist from Technical Difficulties to the stage saying, “Technical Difficulties can’t be here but we’re going to play a tech diffs song for you!” The Technical Difficulties members Charlotte Rae, Jared Boren, Campbell Jillette, and Ethan Williams reunited on stage to perform their original “Rest of You” from their EP Songs About Nothing. After performing a cover of “obsessed” by Olivia Rodrigo, Charlotte debuted a brand-new song titled “Thru Ur Teeth” calling on audience members to sing along during the chorus. Charlotte and Chris tugged at the audiences’ feelings as they performed a duet of her original “Twin Bed”.  

Heating up the stage Charlotte kicked up the energy with her performance of “Hot and Cold” by Katy Perry. She had the audience screaming along as she danced around the stage to the pop hit. Surprising the crowd with another new song Charlotte performed her new original “Rollercoaster” an interesting twist on her usual style with engaging use of vocal reverb. Wrapping up her set with “Juno” by Sabrina Carpenter, Charlotte played off the extremely popular Short and Sweet tour choreography and “juno position”. While Charlotte is graduating in a few short weeks she put her all into the performance on the Greggfest stage.
