Nathan Michaud brought the energy to Village Pizza in Orleans, VT, delivering a set full of timeless hits and infectious fun.
Nate Michaud, a one man guitarist and singer songwriter played in front of a local crowd. Based in the Northeast Kingdom, he plays at many local restaurant’s and others a wide variety of music. You can become part of what he’s singing as it’s both relative and resemble’s a laid back vibe. He’s known for playing Village Pizza in Orleans often, it’s a great spot in between two towns.
A lot of his music choices are geared towards rock, although I did hear a bit of country rock in the mix. Some of his covered songs include; “Can’t You See” by Marshall Tucker Band and “You Don’t Know How It Feels” by Tom Petty. What’s really cool is he remakes music as well, if you look on his instagram you’ll find a link to his revived song “A Darker Shade of Blue” originally from Natasha Yvette Williams with Adrianna Hicks. He’s been playing for about 30 years and has a deep passion for performing in this environment. You can tell he’s there to entertain, even for only a few hours.
They quickly connected and dialed in to be in tune with Michaud, some of them continued to cheer him on and asked him to play more. One of the biggest takeaway’s was how Nate continued to talk to everyone in between songs, expressing a little bit about himself and how much he loved to perform for them. It’s always great to see someone very talented make genuine connections.
One reason so many enjoy Michauds shows is because of how personalized it is, there was no stage or distance between the customers and fans. Everything was very well rounded and overall a great place to capture his music, enjoy the company of fellow music lovers and enjoy the night.
