“Outlaw” marks the latest release from Shinedown’s forthcoming eighth studio album, Ei8ht, arriving just ahead of the band’s highly anticipated worldwide tour.

The new single serves as another preview of the band’s upcoming eighth studio album, Ei8ht, due out May 29. It also arrives on the heels of a major milestone, with the band recently taking home iHeartRadio Music Award for Rock Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year.

“Outlaw” continues a run of chart-topping singles, including “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Killing Fields,” “Three Six Five,” “Safe and Sound,” and their latest No. 1 hit, “Searchlight.” The song reflects the balance Shinedown does so well, blending hard rock intensity with massive hooks and an emotional undercurrent that has become central to the band’s identity. “Searchlight,” in particular, captures one of the core messages behind Shinedown’s music: that even in darkness, there is still light and hope. Its rise to No. 1 across multiple charts is another reminder of the band’s staying power and the powerful connection they continue to share with their audience.

Shinedown are also masters at bringing that same energy not only through their songwriting, but into their live shows as well. Packed with full-scale pyro, dynamic lighting, massive screens, striking graphics, and extended stage setups, their performances allow them to connect with fans far beyond the lyrics, fully immersing the audience in the world that Shinedown so expertly creates. Tie in the energy each member of the band brings on stage, along with the moments when Brent Smith pauses to speak directly to the crowd, and it becomes clear what makes Shinedown so special. Those moments invite fans not only to connect with the band, but also with one another, creating a shared experience in real time. They are remarkably consistent in their execution, time and time again. When you buy a ticket to a Shinedown show, you know it is money well spent.

The Dance, Kid, Dance Act I World Tour continued in the same vein, showcasing just how far Shinedown was willing to push their creative vision and do everything on a bigger scale. Act I featured some of the largest venues the band has ever played, including TD Garden and Madison Square Garden, two iconic venues that countless bands aspire to headline one day. Reaching stages of that caliber and packing them to sold-out status is a testament to the work, passion, and consistency Shinedown brings night after night.

Safe to say, with Ei8ht on the horizon and the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II World Tour set to launch, fans are in for something special.
